HoldLevel is a companion app for people tapering off GLP-1 medication and maintaining their weight. Your health data is the most sensitive thing we could hold, so this policy is short, plain, and strict.
What we collect
Check-in data you enter: hunger scores, weight, mood, energy, habit ticks, symptoms, and notes.
Your taper plan: the medication steps you transcribe from your clinician. The app never generates or suggests doses.
Health app data (optional, read-only): if you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, we read weight measurements to pre-fill your check-in and chart your trend. We never write anything back, and we request nothing beyond weight.
Where it lives
Your data is stored on your device — there are no accounts and your health data is never uploaded to our servers. Deleting the app deletes your data, so export a backup from Settings before switching phones. Your subscription is owned by your App Store or Google Play account and can always be restored with one tap.
What we never do
We never sell your data, to anyone, for any reason.
We never show ads and never share data with advertisers or data brokers.
Your weight, hunger scores, and other health values are never sent to analytics. Crash and usage analytics carry only anonymous events (like "check-in completed"), never health numbers.
Health app access is read-only, used only inside HoldLevel, and never used for advertising or shared with third parties. You can revoke it any time in your device's Health settings.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by the App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat, which processes purchase receipts on our behalf. We never see your card details.
Your controls
Export: download everything the app holds about you as JSON, any time, in Settings.
Erase: wipe all data permanently from Settings ("Erase all my data"). Deleting the app does the same. Both are immediate and unrecoverable.
Disconnect: turn off Health access in Settings or your device's Health permissions.
What HoldLevel is not
HoldLevel is not medical advice and not a medical device. Your taper plan always comes from your clinician. The app is for adults 18 and older, and it is deliberately not designed for people in eating-disorder recovery — we screen for this with care during onboarding and point to better resources.
